About The Role:
CrowdStrike is seeking an experienced Engineer to join the Network Engineering team. Our networks are the foundation upon which our rapidly scaling infrastructure efficiently operates and upon which our innovative services are delivered. This person should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where adaptability and flexibility will be key to their success.The candidate we seek is a forward thinking professional with solid reporting and data management experience. The ideal candidate should have a strong background on network and datacenter financial operations, cost drivers, and capacity planning. Although this role is primarily focused on ensuring our network portfolio is managed efficiently, we’re also looking for someone who has an intermediate-level understanding of networking and hardware concepts, budget analysis, circuit inventory and order tracking, such as asset control and management, and sparing reporting.
What You’ll Do:
- Establish annual/monthly performance targets, analyze budget-to-actual variance, and communicate key messages to leadership
- Validate billing and usage metrics of network services
- Experience working with data warehousing and data modeling
- Lifecycle tracking of circuit inventory database, expiration dates, costs and network inventory
- Perform ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives and business decisions
- Identify and lead cost savings initiatives.
What You’ll Need:
- BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Math, and Computer Science).
- 5+ years of finance/business analysis experience in hyperscaler environment
- Data visualization and reporting expertise
- Programming and scripting skills
- Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts and pricing models
- Solid business judgment and acumen.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, and partner cross-functionally.
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload.
