Job Description

Job Summary: The Technical support Assistant to the Technical Head will provide high-level administrative and technical support to ensure the efficient operation of the technical department. The role involves coordinating technical documentation, assisting in project management, liaising between departments, and supporting the Technical Head with data analysis, presentations, and decision-making processes related to exploration, drilling, production, and compliance activities. Key Responsibilities: Administrative & Coordination Support: Organize and manage the Technical Head’s calendar, meetings, and communications. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and briefing documents. Coordinate meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action items. Manage and track internal and external correspondence and documentation. Technical Support: Assist in reviewing and compiling data related to drilling, reservoir management, production, and HSE. Support in the preparation of feasibility studies, technical evaluations, and project proposals. Maintain up-to-date records of ongoing projects and provide timely updates. Project Assistance: Collaborate with engineering, geology, production, and maintenance teams to support project workflows. Assist in monitoring project timelines, budgets, and milestones. Prepare status reports and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure technical documents meet industry and regulatory standards. Assist in audits, inspections, and regulatory reporting requirements. Maintain secure records of contracts, technical drawings, specifications, and manuals. Data Analysis & Reporting: Compile and analyze technical data using MS Excel, SAP, or other industry-specific tools. Generate summaries, charts, and reports for management review. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 2–5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably in a technical or support role. Strong understanding of upstream operations, technical processes, and terminology. Skills & Competencies: Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in MS Office Suite (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with industry tools is a plus. Detail-oriented with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information. Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure.
