Lead Geophysicist

We are seeking a Lead Geophysicist to join our innovative team at EnQuest PetroSolutions Company. In this role, you will leverage advanced geophysical techniques and technologies to analyze subsurface conditions, driving the success of exploration and development projects. Your expertise will be critical in interpreting complex geophysical data to identify and assess potential resource locations, contributing to strategic decision-making processes. Responsibilities · Lead geophysical surveys and data acquisition projects, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and safety standards · Utilize advanced modeling and inversion techniques to interpret geophysical data. · Stay abreast of advancements in geophysical technologies and methodologies, identifying opportunities for innovation within the team · Evaluating opportunities within captured acreage and refining and increasing the understanding of the petroleum system · Identifying and evaluating opportunities in a wide variety of plays, delineating plays/prospects and assessing the uncertainties/risks, and maturing viable prospects forward to drill readiness · Handle other projects, duties and responsibilities as assigned Required and Preferred Qualifications · MS or PhD Degree in Geophysics or related Geophysical discipline required · Minimum of 15 years of experience working in oil and gas industry · Proficient in seismic attribute and AVO analysis, inversion, and reservoir/fluid prediction as a tool for prospect discrimination and evaluation · Expertise in play/prospect interpretation skills with the ability to integrate geophysical and geological data · Strong prospect/lead & play generation mapping and interpretation skills, utilizing all forms of subsurface, seismic, attribute analysis, and potential field data, with a clear ability to integrate · Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate geological and geophysical data for comprehensive subsurface characterization · Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders · Proficiency in geophysical software such as Petrel, Hampson Russell, OpendTect etc. Show more Show less
