Role Overview We are seeking dynamic, creative, and resourceful candidates for EnQuest PetroSolutions, India location to work on challenging petrophysical problems in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team of formation evaluation specialists, geologists and reservoir engineering team. Candidates will conduct applied project work with real well logs, core and well test data, using a variety of software for petrophysical data processing and evaluation. An ideal candidate can work independently on all types of petrophysical log data and be able to interpret complex analyses from raw logs to integrated solutions. Responsibilities · Contribute to all stages of petrophysical project work, including data preparation, pre-processing, data filtering/augmentation, environmental corrections, and calibration. · Provide real-time operational support during drilling and completion activities, ensuring accurate and timely petrophysical data interpretation to guide operational decisions as and when required. · Conduct model-based petrophysical analyses to evaluate reservoir properties and fluid distributions across the field lifecycle. · Collaborate with geologists, geophysicists, engineers, and other disciplines, as well as business units, to ensure integrated and accurate petrophysical interpretation in conventional and unconventional reservoirs · Collaborate with R&D and application developers to improve existing analysis tools and create new workflows using Python and other programming languages · Stay current with recommended logging tools and technologies to tackle intricate reservoir characterization issues, and periodically provide support for real-time and newly drilled wells · Continuous collaboration with asset and exploration teams globally, delivering clear communication, prompt assistance, and expert knowledge Required and Preferred Qualifications · Master's or equivalent degree, PhD or equivalent from a recognized university in Geology, Geophysics, Physics, Mathematics or Engineering. · Minimum 15 years of industrial experience in petrophysical/formation Evaluation analyses in support of upstream oil and gas operations. · Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and take ownership. · Relevant hands-on experience in any of the following areas across various stages of the field lifecycle, including conventional and unconventional reservoirs, operational support, and seismic rock physics, is desirable. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets. · Experience with one or more integrated petrophysical analysis software suites. Additionally, coding experience and knowledge of statistical methods, machine learning, and numerical modeling can be an added advantage · Experience in all or some of the following subspecialities are desirable: shale and tight/unconventional resource assessment, carbon capture assessment/monitoring, formation testing, geothermal and/ or acoustic rock properties analysis is preferred · Experience across various basins and reservoir types · Proficiency in English.
