About You
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI.
- Strong expertise in DAX: advanced calculations, time intelligence functions, and optimizations.
- Proficient in data modeling: star schema, snowflake schema, and relationships.
- Solid understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
- Experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Familiarity with ETL processes and tools such as Power Query, SSIS, or similar.
- Ability to connect and transform data from diverse sources.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with other BI tools (Tableau, QlikView, etc.) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Synapse, etc.) or Power Platform is advantageous.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or R for advanced analytics.
- Certification in Power BI (e.g., DA-100) is a strong plus.
What You ‘ll Do
Report & Dashboard Development:
- Design and develop interactive Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations tailored to business needs.
- Implement advanced analytics and data storytelling using Power BI features.
DAX Formulas & Calculations
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot DAX expressions to create custom measures and calculated columns.
- Implement advanced DAX queries for complex business requirements.
Data Modeling & ETL
- Design and optimize data models to support report performance.
- Collaborate with ETL teams to prepare, transform, and load data from various sources.
Requirement Analysis
- Work with stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Data Integration & Connectivity
- Integrate Power BI with multiple data sources (SQL Server, Excel, APIs, etc.).
- Set up and manage data refresh schedules and gateways for real-time and automated updates.
- Performance Optimization:
- Optimize reports and dashboards for performance and usability.
- Debug and resolve performance bottlenecks in datasets, queries, and reports.
Documentation & Training
- Document technical designs, processes, and user guides for Power BI solutions.
- Provide training and support to end-users for self-service BI adoption.
