Job Description

3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1.1 Project Planning & Execution

Manage the full project management and systems development life cycles of assigned projects to ensure comprehensive, timely and high-quality outcomes

Create detailed project plans using MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools that facilitate task listings, assignments, tracking and modification

Ensure business requirements are completely satisfied, delivered on time and within budget

Identify and engage all key contributors, business and technical resources that must participate in projects

Ensure contributors are motivated to complete assigned tasks within project parameters

Manage project budgets ranging from ₹10-50 lakhs, ensuring optimal resource utilization and cost control

Facilitate daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and regular project meetings

Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure successful completion

1.2 Stakeholder & Team Management

Provide recommendations to senior management regarding type and number of resources (human, financial, tools, etc.) required to complete assigned projects

Produce executive reports on assigned projects to keep management apprised of:

Project status and health indicators

Major issues and escalations

Scope changes and impact analysis

Resource changes and allocations

Milestone achievements and upcoming deliverables

Lead cross-functional teams of 5-15 members across multiple locations including remote/distributed environments

Utilize outstanding interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, stakeholders, and team members

Manage vendor relationships and third-party resources as needed

Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members

Foster collaboration and maintain team morale

1.3 Risk & Quality Management

Document, assign and monitor all project issues to ensure clearance with minimal impact to project progress

Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks proactively through structured risk management

Ensure quality assurance and testing oversight throughout project lifecycle

Implement change management and configuration management practices

Conduct post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions

Maintain issue logs, risk registers, and mitigation plans

Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices

1.4 Process & Methodology Implementation

Solicit and obtain management authorization for:

Development, documentation and implementation of new features and applications

Maintenance and support of existing applications

Technology stack changes and upgrades

Participate in the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of:

Technology services and standards

Project management policies and procedures

Best practices and process improvements

Apply Agile/Scrum methodologies and hybrid approaches based on project needs

Maintain comprehensive project documentation repository

Ensure effective knowledge transfer to operations and support teams

Implement and monitor project governance frameworks

1.5 Performance Monitoring & Reporting

Provide regular feedback to management regarding project team performance

Track and report on project metrics and KPIs using data-driven dashboards including:

Schedule variance and timeline adherence

Budget variance and cost performance

Quality metrics and defect rates

Team velocity and productivity

Client satisfaction scores

Ensure proper systems and processes are developed and implemented on time and within budget

Facilitate continuous improvement through performance analysis and optimization

Conduct sprint reviews and demonstrate deliverables to stakeholders

1.6 Professional Development

Remain current on technical and professional developments affecting area of responsibility

Stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies

Participate in training programs and professional development activities

Share knowledge and mentor junior team members

TECHNICAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

1.1 Project Management Tools & Methodologies

Required:

MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, Asana, Monday.com, or similar project management tools

Agile/Scrum methodologies (Sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives)

Waterfall methodology for appropriate project types

Hybrid approach implementation

Gantt charts, burndown charts, and project dashboards

Resource management and capacity planning tools

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹226,586.64 - ₹1,376,895.70 per year
