Technical Recruiter (Contract)
About The Opportunity
A fast-scaling player in the HR Tech & Analytics sector, we partner with high-growth product and engineering organisations to deliver technical hiring at velocity. This is a contract-based role in Bangalore supporting full-cycle recruitment for software, data, cloud and AI/ML teams—ideal for recruiters who thrive in metrics-driven, high-volume environments.Role & Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end technical hiring for engineers, data scientists, product and cloud roles—drive requisition intake through offer close while ensuring excellent candidate experience.
- Proactively source passive talent using LinkedIn Recruiter (Boolean/X-Ray), Naukri, Indeed, GitHub, StackOverflow and community channels to build high-intent pipelines ahead of demand.
- Partner with hiring managers to clarify role requirements, craft market-facing job descriptions and design interview rubrics that predict on-the-job success.
- Conduct structured technical screens, evaluate technical and cultural fit, and coordinate multi-stage assessments and interview feedback loops.
- Manage ATS workflows, scheduling and offer processes—maintain accurate requisition tracking and candidate status updates.
- Drive data-driven improvements: report funnel KPIs (time-to-fill, source-of-hire), identify bottlenecks and optimise processes for speed and quality.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- 1-3 years of hands-on technical recruitment in product, engineering or deep-tech environments (end-to-end hiring).
- Strong passive sourcing skills (LinkedIn Boolean, X-Ray, referral programs, developer communities).
- Working knowledge of software engineering and AI/ML skill sets to assess candidate fit and market compensation norms.
- Experience with ATS platforms and calendar/scheduling tools; proficient in Excel/Google Sheets for pipeline reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; proven ability to negotiate offers and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Comfortable managing multiple open requisitions concurrently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
Preferred
- Prior experience hiring for specialised research, hardware or semiconductor teams, or early-stage startups.
- Familiarity with HR analytics or dashboarding (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) for recruiting insights.
- Certifications in Talent Acquisition (LinkedIn, SHRM, AIRS) or formal TA training.
- Experience running campus engagement, employer-branding or sourcing campaigns.
- Exposure to process automation tools (Zapier, Greenhouse APIs) and recruitment operations best practices.
- Experience supporting India + global hiring and basic knowledge of relocation/visa processes.
