Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Chartered Accountant with over 7 years of relevant experience to join our Accounting and Financial Reporting team. The role involves leading the preparation of IFRS-compliant financial statements, managing regulatory reporting, implementing IFRS guidelines, overseeing NPA provisioning, coordinating LFAR and Notes to Accounts disclosures, and handling financial reporting for the International Banking Unit (IBU).

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & IFRS Compliance

  • Lead the preparation and finalization of financial statements in accordance with IFRS/Ind AS.
  • Ensure accurate classification, measurement, and disclosure of financial instruments, leases, revenue, and other key areas under IFRS.
  • Prepare detailed disclosures including segment reporting.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for IFRS audit requirements and ensure timely resolution of audit queries.

IBU Financial Statements

  • Prepare and review financial statements and disclosures specific to the International Banking Unit (IBU) in accordance with applicable regulatory and accounting standards.
  • Ensure proper accounting of foreign currency transactions, offshore exposures, and cross-border financial instruments.
  • Liaise with Treasury and International Business teams for accurate reporting of IBU balances and transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with FEMA, RBI, and international reporting norms applicable to IBU operations.

LFAR & Notes to Accounts

  • Coordinate with auditors for Long Form Audit Report (LFAR) requirements, including data collation and response preparation.
  • Lead the drafting and review of Notes to Accounts, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory and accounting standards.

Process Improvement & Team Leadership

  • Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements and implement necessary changes in reporting processes.
  • Drive automation and process improvement initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members including CA freshers and analysts.
  • Act as a key liaison between Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Audit teams.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 7+ years of post-qualification experience in banking or financial services.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, Ind AS, RBI regulations, and banking operations.
  • Hands-on experience in LFAR coordination, Notes to Accounts preparation, and IBU financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Finacle, MS Excel).
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to compliance.
