An e-commerce Team Leader manages daily online sales operations, leads a team to meet targets, and ensures customer satisfaction by overseeing product listings, order processing, and the customer experience. Key responsibilities include analyzing performance data, optimizing the online platform, coordinating with other departments (marketing, logistics), providing team training, and driving revenue through effective online strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management:
Manage, coach, and motivate a team of individuals to achieve daily and overall sales and operational targets.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Ensure staff retention and conduct appraisal discussions.
Handle work allocation, training, and support for team members.
Sales & Operations Management:
Oversee the execution of e-commerce sales strategies.
Manage product listings and inventory to ensure availability and accuracy.
Monitor and process orders, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment and shipping.
Coordinate with logistics teams for efficient delivery.
Implement and optimize operational processes for efficiency.
Customer Experience:
Ensure a seamless and engaging user experience across e-commerce platforms.
Address customer inquiries and resolve escalations or conflicts promptly.
Maintain high customer satisfaction levels and adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Performance Analysis & Optimization:
Analyze sales data, web traffic, and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) like conversion rates and average order value.
Implement data-driven decisions to optimize e-commerce performance and website effectiveness.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
Liaise with marketing, product development, content, and IT teams to align e-commerce efforts with business goals.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for product procurement and pricing.
