Team Leader

As a Team Leader in the Private Equity and Real Estate Services Fund Administration team, your role involves administering private equity funds and other alternative investment vehicles. This includes preparing and reviewing financial statements and reports, as well as providing support for investor relations activities. Your responsibilities will also include bookkeeping, reconciliation, calculating fees, preparing financial statements and investor reports, and driving process improvements. Key Responsibilities: - Perform daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting functions - Book and review journal entries into the Accounting application - Reconcile accounts - Prepare and review fund level financial statements such as the consolidated balance sheet, income statement, statement of partners" capital, schedule of investments, footnotes to financial statements, and cash flows - Prepare and review investor capital calls and distributions notices - Understand fund agreements to determine their impact on reporting - Review the work of team members, providing feedback for improvement to ensure timely delivery of quality output - Proactively anticipate, communicate, and escalate issues to the Manager in a timely manner - Work on special and ad hoc projects for internal initiatives and external clients Qualifications Required: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, ICWA, CA, MBA, or CPA - Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in private equity or hedge fund accounting - High level of proficiency in Excel - Attention to detail, innovative and analytical thinking, with excellent verbal and written communication skills - Team player instincts with the ability to see a project to conclusion with minimal follow-up - Superb sense of client service with the ability to exercise professional skepticism and judgment appropriately Additional Company Details (if provided): - Familiarity with various private equity legal and investment structures - Knowledge of various waterfall models - Experience using partnership accounting applications like Investran,
