Software Engineer III - Java Fullstack + ReactJS

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset & Wealth Management, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives. You will execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems. You will create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems. Additionally, you will produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development. Your role will involve gathering, analyzing, synthesizing, and developing visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems. You will proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data and use these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture. Furthermore, you will contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies, while adding to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills include formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience. You should have hands-on software development experience in Java/Python and related technology stack (Spring, Spring Boot, etc.). Experience with Web Tech such as React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS is essential, along with experience in automated testing including E-2-E testing processes. You should have experience working with other people in a team setting and possess the ability to communicate, engage, and influence effectively. Experience using continuous integration tools, including Jenkins, managing assignments effectively, multi-tasking, and working within tight deadlines, as well as Agile development experience and experience working in a globally distributed team are also required. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills include cloud engineering experience would be an advantage (AWS), knowledge in Cassandra, Containers, Dynamo, and SRE concepts like monitoring and log tracing.,
