Job Description

Position: Team Leader Department / Team: (e.g. Engineering, Product, Support, Research) Reports to: (e.g. Manager, Director) Location: (On‑site / Hybrid / Remote) Role OverviewThe Team Leader will guide and supervise a team of (e.g. engineers, analysts, support agents, researchers), ensuring high performance, collaboration, and alignment with organisational goals. This role balances hands‑on contribution, people management, and strategic oversight. Key ResponsibilitiesManage, mentor, and coach team members — set performance goals, conduct reviews, support professional development Delegate work and coordinate team assignments Monitor project progress, track metrics, ensure deadlines are met Facilitate communication between team and stakeholders (other teams, management) Help resolve escalations, conflicts, resource issues Contribute to planning, process improvements, and strategy Ensure quality standards, best practices, and documentation Participate in hiring, onboarding, and team growth Provide status reports, risk assessments, and updates to leadership Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) Proven experience in a leadership or senior role (e.g. senior engineer, lead, supervisor) Strong communication (verbal, written) and interpersonal skills Ability to motivate, mentor, and manage performance Good organizational, planning, and problem‑solving skills Experience with (depending on domain) software development, product, support, research, etc. Familiarity with metrics, KPIs, dashboards, reporting Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities Preferred / Nice to HaveMaster’s or advanced degree Prior experience in AI, ML, SaaS, or relevant tech domain Experience with cross‑functional teams Familiarity with agile / scrum / lean methodologies Experience recruiting and scaling teams
