Job Description

What You'll DoAs a Talent Management Specialist, you will drive the execution of talent mechanisms that directly support Avalara's culture. By ensuring precise, repeatable processes and partnering with Avalara's People and Culture Centers of Excellence (COEs), People Tech team, and People Partners, you will enable seamless integration of talent processes within Workday. Your work will focus on maintaining data integrity, gathering business requirements, and refining solutions to enhance Avalara's talent strategy.

Main Responsibilities

What Your Responsibilities Will Be
  • Workday Talent Solution Administration:
  • You will Administer the Workday talent module to align with business needs, optimizing configurations and performing ongoing solution testing.
  • You will Gather insights from People Partners to refine solutions and support operational improvements.
  • You will Document business requirements for new functionalities and ensure consistent delivery through enhanced process design.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
  • You will Collaborate with the Data and Analytics team to generate timely, accurate talent reports and dashboards, providing valuable insights for strategic planning.
  • You will Partner with People Partners to interpret data, identify trends, and develop recommendations that inform talent strategies.
  • You will Uphold data quality and accuracy across talent systems.
  • Talent Process Execution:
  • Oversee the execution of talent management processes such as performance reviews, succession planning, and talent reviews, ensuring adherence to timelines.
  • Coordinate with People Partners to maintain a clear, efficient workflow, and provide follow-up to meet key milestones.
  • Quality Assurance and Data Integrity:
  • Conduct audits to maintain data accuracy and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Work with HR Operations to troubleshoot data discrepancies and ensure process consistency across systems.
  • HR Operations Partnership:
  • Partner with People Tech team to design accurate and efficient security roles and access within the talent management system in close collaboration with HR Operations.
  • Ensure that talent access structures meet business needs while maintaining compliance with data security protocols.
What You’ll Need To Be Successful
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • 4+ years in talent management, HR systems, or HR analytics, with experience in Workday.
  • Experience HR operations, data quality management, and process execution within a talent management context.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in Workday Talent Management module administration and data analysis.
