Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and results-oriented Supply Chain Analyst to join our fast-paced e-commerce company. The ideal candidate will optimize our end-to-end supply chain processes, from procurement and inventory management to logistics and fulfillment, ensuring high product availability and cost efficiency to support rapid business growth. This role is crucial for leveraging data to drive strategic decisions that enhance customer satisfaction and operational performance.
Responsibilities
● Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets related to inventory levels, sales forecasts, procurement, shipping performance, and warehouse operations to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement. Develop and maintain key performance indicator (KPI) dashboards.
● Inventory Planning & Forecasting: Collaborate with the Merchandising and Sales teams to develop accurate demand forecasts. Determine optimal inventory levels, safety stock, and reorder points to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
● Logistics & Fulfillment Optimization: Analyze transportation costs and delivery timelines for various carriers and fulfillment methods. Recommend and implement strategies to improve shipping efficiency, reduce transit times, and lower logistics spend.
● Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies across the supply chain. Design and implement new processes, tools, and systems to streamline operations, focusing on scalability and automation.
● Vendor & Supplier Performance: Monitor and report on supplier performance metrics (e.g., lead time, on-time delivery, quality). Work with the Procurement team to mitigate supply risks and improve vendor reliability.
● Financial Analysis: Conduct cost-benefit analyses for supply chain projects, including new technology investments, warehouse layout changes, and sourcing strategies.
Qualifications
Required
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
● Experience: 2-4 years of experience in a supply chain, logistics, or operations role, preferably within an e-commerce or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment. ● Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas) and experience working with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) or WMS (Warehouse Management Systems).
● Analytical Skills: Proven ability to manipulate and analyze complex data to draw actionable conclusions.
● Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred
● Experience with SQL, Python, or other data querying/scripting languages. ● Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Amazon Seller Central). ● Certification such as APICS CPIM or CSCP
● Experience in forecasting methodologies and software.
