🧠 Role Summary
The Store Head is responsible for the overall management and performance of the stores/warehouse operations at the Rasayani/Panvel facility. This leader will ensure accurate inventory control, smooth material flow, and effective coordination with Production, Purchase, Quality, Accounts, and Logistics teams to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
📋 Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory & Store Operations
Oversee complete store functions — receipt, inspection, storage, issue, and dispatch of materials.
Ensure accurate and timely entries of GRNs (Goods Received Notes), MRNs (Material Requisition Notes), issue slips, and other documentation in ERP/SAP systems.
Maintain and update bin cards, stock ledgers, and inventory records to reflect real-time stock positions.
Monitor minimum/maximum stock levels and trigger reorder notifications to Purchase.
Conduct periodic physical stock verification / cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Implement FIFO (First-In-First-Out) and 5S inventory standards.
2. Leadership & Team Management
Lead, train, mentor, and supervise store staff, including store executives, material handlers, and helpers.
Set work targets and conduct performance reviews for store associates.
Promote a culture of safety, compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
3. Coordination & Communication
Collaborate closely with Production, QA, Purchase, Accounts, and Logistics departments for material planning and problem resolution.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for material returns, discrepancies, and delivery follow-ups.
Support audits (internal & external) with accurate records and documentation.
4. Process Improvement
Identify gaps in inventory processes and propose solutions for space utilization, tracking accuracy, and waste reduction.
Drive digitization of store processes via ERP/SAP and related tools.
Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO standards, and safety requirements.
5. Safety & Housekeeping
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment in line with EHS standards.
Ensure correct handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous or sensitive materials.
📌 Qualifications & Experience
Education
Bachelor’s Degree (B. Com / BBA / Engineering / SCM / Materials Management)
Preferably diploma or certification in Materials / Inventory / Supply Chain.
Work Experience
Minimum 7–12 years of experience in Stores/Inventory management in a manufacturing environment (engineering, automotive, injection molding, or similar).
At least 3–5 years in a supervisory / leadership capacity in stores/warehouse.
Technical Skills
Strong experience with ERP systems (SAP, Tally, ERPNext, etc.) for inventory tracking.
Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory reporting.
Deep understanding of GRN/MRN, FIFO, stock reconciliation, auditing, and ERP processes.
