The Zonal Financial Controller
The Zonal Financial Controller will be the principal financial leader for the Sterling Hospital, Rajkot Zone, encompassing both the Rajkot and Gandhidham locations. This strategic role is responsible for overseeing and directing the entire spectrum of financial and accounting operations. The expectation is to drive financial performance, ensure regulatory compliance, provide strategic financial insights, and lead the finance team to support the overall operational excellence and growth of the zone.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Leadership & Oversight
- Lead the Finance & Accounts Department for the Rajkot and Gandhidham units, ensuring seamless and accurate financial operations.
- Own the Profit & Loss (P&L) statement and Balance Sheet for the Rajkot Zone, providing comprehensive analysis and commentary on performance.
- Ensure the timely and accurate closing of books and preparation of General Accounting records.
- Oversee and optimize the Billing process to maximize revenue capture and minimize outstanding receivables.
- Financial Planning & Analytics (FP&A)
- Lead the development of the Annual Operational Plan (AOP) and Budgeting process, aligning
financial goals with the zone's strategic objectives.
- Spearhead Financial Planning & Analytics (FP&A), including variance analysis, cost control initiatives, and profitability reporting.
- Develop and implement sophisticated Financial Modeling tools to evaluate new projects, capital expenditure, and business expansion opportunities.
- Prepare and present accurate and insightful Management Information System (MIS) reports for Zonal and Corporate leadership, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and
operational trends.
- Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure strict compliance with all local, state, and central statutory regulations, accounting standards (e.g., Ind AS/IFRS), and hospital policies.
- Coordinate and manage all internal and external audits effectively.
- Implement and monitor strong internal financial controls to safeguard hospital assets and prevent financial discrepancies.
- Team Management & Development
- Lead, mentor, and manage the Finance and Accounts team across the Rajkot and Gandhidham locations, fostering a high-performance, compliant, and collaborative work environment.
- Delegate responsibilities and ensure cross-training to build depth and resilience within the team.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and facilitate professional development for team members.
Desired profile
Education:
Graduate (B.Com) Preferred, Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance from a reputed institution is Minimum of 5-12 years of post-qualification experience in Finance and Accounting.
- Minimum of 3-5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably in the Healthcare/Hospital
industry managing multiple units/locations (Zonal experience is a significant advantage).
- Demonstrated expertise in P&L ownership, Balance Sheet management, Statutory Compliance, and Exceptional leadership, team-handling, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, ERP systems or equivalent Hospital HIS), and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
