Job Description

Regional Commercial Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage customer credit limits, ensuring compliance with company policies and coordinating with the sales team for appropriate dispatch approvals.
  • Oversee receivables and risk management, including collections follow-up, overdue control, and periodic credit limit reviews for dealers and distributors, with a focus on maintaining zero bad debts and achieving DSO targets as per corporate guidelines.
  • Exercise strict credit control measures both pre- and post-dispatch of goods.
  • Provide working capital support to customers through effective use of channel finance and structured financing solutions, ensuring alignment with business growth, customer requirements and smooth business continuity.
  • Support the Manager – Credit Control in assessing and setting customer credit limits.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure timely collections and resolve issues related to receivables.
  • Coordinate with plant and logistics teams to manage documentation requirements linked to receivables and dispatches.
  • Conduct periodic reconciliation of accounts for all major customers to ensure accuracy and transparency.
  • Maintain updated credit history records of customers and prepare regular regional MIS reports for management review.
  • Manage credit notes related to price trends, product incentives, and realizations.
  • Ensure proper custody and collection of Security Deposits and Bank Guarantees from customers.
  • Assist internal auditors during audits and provide timely responses to initial audit queries.
  • Nature of Experience • Strong analytical and financial acumen with a focus on credit risk management. • Proficiency in credit control processes, receivables management, and MIS reporting. • Knowledge of channel financing and working capital solutions for customers. • Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and compliance Working knowledge of Sales Finance and Commercial Function • Good knowledge on GST, VAT, Excise & Service Tax. • Knowledge of SAP
  • Specific skills / Personal attributes • Digitally savvy with the ability to leverage ERP systems, digital finance tools, and dashboards for improved efficiency and reporting • Pro-active, result-oriented and possess analytical skills, have ability to work in a cross-functional team • Strong inter-personal relation skills • Customer Orientation • Strong written & verbal communication
