Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer who has a strong focus on manual testing across multiple testing domains such as API, Database, Security, Performance, and Functional testing.

This role requires you to work closely with developers, product owners, and other QA team members in an agile environment to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. While manual testing will be your primary responsibility, there will also be opportunities to contribute to automation testing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

● Analyze product requirements and functional specifications to design and execute comprehensive manual test cases.

● Perform end-to-end manual testing across functional, regression, integration, performance, security, and database testing to ensure product quality.

● Conduct detailed API testing using tools like Postman and Swagger to validate business logic and communication between components.

● Analyze and test the security aspects of the application to ensure data protection and compliance with security standards.

● Design and execute performance testing to evaluate system performance under varying load conditions.

● Write, review, and execute automation test scripts using Selenium or similar tools to contribute to test automation initiatives.

● Log defects clearly in Jira, and track them through resolution.

● Collaborate with developers to improve test coverage and enhance the testing process.

● Provide feedback to product teams on areas of improvement and potential risks.

● Maintain and update test documentation and contribute to test planning and status reporting.

● Utilize the existing AI tools to enhance the testing process within the organization.

● Take full ownership of the testing process, from requirement analysis to test execution and defect tracking, ensuring the highest quality standards are met throughout the product lifecycle.

Required Skills and Experience

● 4-6 years of experience in software QA with a strong emphasis on manual testing.

● Extensive experience in Functional, UI, API, Database, Security, and Performance testing for web and mobile applications.

● Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and other testing methodologies.

● Proficient in writing detailed test cases and executing them, with thorough bug reporting and tracking. ● Experience with test management and defect management tools like Jira, TestRail, or similar.

● Strong understanding of testing concepts with practical experience in manual testing.

● Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly.

Nice to Have

● Hands-on experience with Selenium or other automation tools.

● Basic understanding of programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).

● Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.

● Basic knowledge of databases and SQL.

● Ecommerce (Magento/Shopify) domain experience is a big plus.

● ISTQB certification is a plus.
