Senior MIS Executive – Job Description

Role Overview

The Senior MIS Executive will lead data management operations, apply advanced Excel solutions, and drive business intelligence initiatives to support commercial and operational strategy. This role includes direct oversight of junior MIS staff and data entry operators.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and optimize complex Excel reports and dashboards with advanced formulas, macros, Pivot Tables, and Google Sheets integration.

- Design and automate data workflows for improved efficiency and accuracy.

- Mentor and guide a small MIS/data entry team, enabling continuous improvement.

- Extract, cleanse, and consolidate data from multiple sources for comprehensive reporting and analysis.

- Conduct analytical tasks such as trend analysis, performance tracking, and variance analysis to generate actionable MIS reports for management.

- Liaise with production, finance, and other teams to understand reporting needs and deliver customized solutions.

- Ensure data integrity and enforce data privacy standards.

- Manage integration of MIS processes with cloud platforms and support migration and automation initiatives.

- Troubleshoot reporting and data issues, proactively identifying process improvements.

- Train or onboard junior staff and, when required, oversee the hiring and performance of data entry operators.

Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, IT, Engineering, or related field; higher qualifications preferred.

- Minimum 5 years of professional MIS or analytical/data management experience within automotive, manufacturing, tooling, or similar domains.

- Expert-level proficiency in MS Excel: advanced formulas (such as VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, Arrays), Pivot Tables, Macros/VBA.

- Strong familiarity with Google Sheets and Docs.

- Experience integrating data from multiple worksheets or sources.

- Excellent communication and team management skills.

- Analytical mindset with a focus on data accuracy and insightful reporting.

- Knowledge of ERP or BI/reporting systems is a plus.

Compensation

- Salary: ₹30,000–₹40,000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.

Additional Notes

- Candidates with backgrounds in statistics, data analytics, and automotive industry experience will be given preference.

- Participation in strategic and process automation projects may be required.
