Job Description

Job Title: Senior Accounts Executive

Department: Finance & Accounts

Reports To: Accounts Manager / Finance Head

Location: [Andheri East]

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

The Senior Accounts Executive will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with statutory and organizational requirements. This role involves managing accounts payable/receivable, preparing financial reports, supporting audits, and assisting in budgeting and forecasting activities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Maintain and update general ledgers, journals, and other financial records.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile bank statements, and review financial data for accuracy.
  • Ensure timely recording of invoices, payments, receipts, and expenses.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.

2. Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports.
  • Analyze financial performance and recommend areas for improvement.
  • Assist in preparation of management reports, balance sheets, P&L statements, and cash flow projections.

3. Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations (GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESIC, etc.).
  • Liaise with auditors during internal and external audits.
  • Support in filing tax returns and statutory forms.

4. Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Track variances between budgeted and actual expenses.

5. Process Improvement

  • Recommend and implement process improvements for better financial control and efficiency.
  • Support automation and digitization initiatives in accounting processes.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance (B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance).
  • Professional qualification (CA Inter / CMA Inter) preferred.
  • 4–7 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and statutory compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with Tally ERP, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software.

Skills Required:

  • Excellent understanding of financial reporting and data analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
