early-career Engineering Manager

What you’ll do

• Lead a small engineering team to deliver features from concept → production with strong quality and reliability
• Own end-to-end execution across

  architecture, development, QA/testing, DevOps, security practices, releases, and production support

• Build and evolve scalable backend systems using

  Java

  and modern architecture patterns (

  CQRS, event-driven architecture, microservices

  )
• Work with distributed messaging and streaming using

  Kafka

• Build customer-facing web experiences using

  React

• Operate services in production: monitoring, alerting, debugging, incident response, and postmortems
• Partner closely with

  Product

  on roadmap execution and trade-offs
• Collaborate with

  Sales

  on technical inputs for enterprise needs and readiness
• Work with

  Customer Success

  to reduce escalations, improve rollout success, and drive customer outcomes

What we’re looking for

• 2–5 years

  of experience building production-grade software (B2B SaaS preferred)
• Hands-on experience with

  Java

  (Spring Boot preferred) and building APIs/services
• Working experience with

  AWS

  (e.g., EC2/ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, IAM—any combination)
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code
• Experience with

  Kafka

  (producers/consumers, topics, partitions, at-least-once processing basics)
• Frontend experience with

  React

  (and modern JS/TS tooling)
• Solid testing mindset: unit/integration tests, automation, release readiness
• Practical security awareness: auth, data protection, OWASP basics, secure coding
• Strong ownership and communication — able to lead execution and collaborate across teams
  

Nice to have

• Observability tools and practices (logs/metrics/traces, SLO thinking)
• Exposure to CQRS and/or event-driven architecture concepts in real systems
• Enterprise features like

  SSO (SAML/OIDC), RBAC, audit logs

  , or compliance exposure (SOC2/ISO basics)
