Essential Responsibilities:
- Implements tasks within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), receiving structure and oversight from more experienced staff
- Follows well-established internal conventions and standard procedures
- Understands internal standards & processes an applies them to make technical decisions
- Collaborates with peers, manager, and project lead to gain understanding of tasks and review solutions
- May contribute to code & design reviews
Expected Qualifications:
- 1+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Responsibilities And Preferred Qualifications
- Professional experience as an Android Developer using Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, Android NDK, JetPack Compose.
- You have experience in publishing an application on the Google Play store.
- Proven work experience in design patterns mobile architecture such as MVVM/MVC/MVP
- Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
- Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
- Familiarity with various testing tools. Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented design and concepts with ability to analyze requirements and transform into scalable software designs.
- You must be a self- starter, work independently or as a team member, and have strong communication skills in interfacing with business partners and the Technology.
- Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
- Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, scaling and performance) of new and current systems. Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases
- Familiarity with REST/GraphQL APIs to effectively integrate Android applications, experience with competent designing and building Android services in an enterprise setting.
- Competent in software engineering tools (e.g., build tools) and best practices (e.g., unit testing, test automation, continuous integration, etc.).
- Experience in refactoring existing codebase and in understanding existing implementations, with the ability to decide whether to refactor or rewrite.
- Should be a strong advocate of code craftsmanship, good coding standards and use of tools that will improve the quality of the delivered code
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Experience in communicating with other technical teams, product and senior management to collect requirements, describe/understand product features, technical designs, and engineering strategy
- You are a problem solver with good analytical skills
- Team worker, responsible, delivery oriented.
- Demonstrate a high level of curiosity, passion for technology, pride of ownership and strive for excellence
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage continuously changing business needs.
