• Warehouse Operations: Manage daily operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and distributing goods, while ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
• Staff Management: Supervise, train, and schedule warehouse staff; foster a positive team environment; and manage employee performance and development.
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control, maintain accurate records, conduct regular audits, and resolve discrepancies to ensure optimal stock levels.
• Logistics Coordination: Liaise with suppliers, shipping companies, and internal departments (like procurement and logistics) to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and optimize warehouse layout and space.
• Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present reports on warehouse activities, performance, inventory levels, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Safety and Compliance: Enforce strict safety, security, and regulatory protocols to protect staff and property, and ensure compliance with company policies.

Required skills and qualifications

• Experience: Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics.
• Skills:
• Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Education: A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is often preferred.
• Certifications: Forklift certification is a plus. Professional certifications in supply chain or logistics management are also beneficial.
