Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior UI/UX Engineer who brings together strong UX/UI design expertise and hands-on front-end development skills. This role owns the end-to-end user experience—from research and design through implementation—ensuring that interfaces are intuitive, accessible, performant, and production-ready.

You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, AI specialists, and marketing teams to translate complex business and technical requirements into elegant, scalable digital experiences across Accelyst’s internal platforms and client-facing AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

UX & Product Design

· Lead the end-to-end UX process including user research, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing

· Translate business goals, user needs, and technical constraints into intuitive user flows and interaction models

· Design workflows and experiences for AI-driven, data-heavy, and dashboard-based applications

· Validate design decisions through user feedback, usability reviews, and iterative improvements

UI & Visual Design

· Create high-fidelity UI designs, mockups, and design specifications aligned with Accelyst’s brand guidelines

· Ensure consistency, clarity, and scalability across products through reusable patterns and components

· Develop responsive designs optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices

· Define, maintain, and evolve design systems, component libraries, and UI standards

Front-End Development & Implementation

· Implement UI designs using modern front-end technologies, ensuring accuracy to design intent

· Develop responsive, accessible, and high-quality interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks

· Ensure cross-browser, cross-device compatibility and performance optimization

· Integrate front-end components with backend services via RESTful APIs

Collaboration & Delivery

· Partner closely with backend engineers, product owners, QA teams, and AI specialists in Agile/Scrum environments

· Provide clear design documentation, developer handoffs, and implementation guidance

· Review UI implementations, identify usability or visual issues, and recommend improvements

· Mentor junior designers or developers when required and promote UI/UX best practices

Quality, Accessibility & Standards

· Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG) and usability best practices

· Balance aesthetics, usability, performance, and technical feasibility

· Stay current with UI/UX trends, front-end technologies, and emerging AI design patterns

Required Skills & Competencies

· Strong eye for visual design, typography, color, layout, and interaction design

· Deep understanding of UX principles, usability heuristics, accessibility, and responsive design

· Ability to think like both a designer and an engineer

· Excellent communication and presentation skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders

· Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with a proactive, ownership-driven attitude

Technical Skills

· 6–10 years of experience designing and developing modern web applications

· Strong hands-on experience with:

o HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript

o Responsive frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap or equivalent)

o Modern JS frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue

· Solid understanding of web standards, performance optimization, and front-end best practices

· Experience integrating UIs with RESTful APIs

· Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum development environments

Design Tools

· Hands-on experience with tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar

· Strong prototyping skills using Figma, Framer, Webflow, InVision, or equivalent

· Ability to create visual assets such as icons, images, and lightweight branding elements when required

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

· Experience designing AI-driven, data-intensive, or enterprise SaaS applications

· Familiarity with design systems and component-based UI architectures

· Experience with WordPress, PHP, or CMS-based UI customization

· Understanding of service-oriented architectures (REST, JSON, XML)

· Basic knowledge of SEO, digital marketing, or brand strategy

· Prior experience in consulting or client-facing delivery environments

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

· A strong portfolio demonstrating both UI/UX design thinking and front-end implementation is required
