Job Description

As a Senior Sales Manager, National Sales at Marriott International, your role involves managing a complex portfolio of national accounts by applying strategic account management principles. Your key responsibilities include: - Developing and implementing the overall account strategy for assigned accounts to achieve account goals - Retaining, expanding, and growing account revenue through total account penetration and implementation of sales and marketing initiatives - Identifying and aggressively soliciting new accounts while maintaining current business accounts - Qualifying potential accounts with accuracy and collecting key information about customers" business - Demonstrating benefits of total account management and team-based sales - Developing opportunity sales plans to attain revenue goals and identifying key purchase points and decision-makers - Leveraging appropriate sales and property Leadership to ensure account saturation and selling solutions at the local property level - Supporting data gathering, reporting, and tracking functions - Relating customer needs to product capabilities and routinely quantifying the business impact to customers and Marriott - Pursuing initiatives to capitalize on market opportunities and counter competitive threats - Anticipating and seizing opportunities to build customer satisfaction and delivering value-added products and services to create long-term customer loyalty - Ensuring account sales strategies are communicated and updated as market conditions fluctuate - Facilitating educational opportunities to enhance credibility and integration between the National Sales Team and internal stakeholders - Identifying and cultivating relationships with key colleagues and stakeholders in other parts of the organization - Participating with the account team in market pull-through activity In addition to your core work activities, you will be expected to exhibit leadership competencies such as adaptability, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making. You will also contribute to team building, driving for results, planning and organizing, and building relationships with coworkers and customers. Your role will involve generating talent and organizational capability, learning and applying professional expertise, and demonstrating competencies in areas such as sales and marketing, analysis, research, computer skills, economics and finance, and revenue management.
