Job Overview

:We are looking for a proactive and detail-driven Purchase Executive to support and strengthen procurement operations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in end-to-end purchasing activities, vendor coordination, and cost optimisation. This role is critical in ensuring timely procurement of quality materials and services while adhering to budgetary and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

:Procurement Operations:
  • Manage the complete procurement cycle for raw materials, consumables, services, and office supplies.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions (PRs) and convert approved requisitions into purchase orders (POs).
Vendor Management:
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors based on quality standards, pricing, and delivery capabilities.
  • Maintain an updated vendor database and periodically assess vendor performance.
Quotation & Negotiation:
  • Obtain and evaluate quotations from multiple suppliers.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effective procurement.
Order & Inventory Coordination:
  • Coordinate with stores and inventory teams to monitor stock levels and prevent shortages or excess inventory.
  • Track purchase orders and follow up to ensure on-time delivery.
Documentation & Compliance:
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and applicable statutory regulations.
Interdepartmental Coordination:
  • Coordinate with the finance team for invoice verification and payment processing.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand material requirements and procurement timelines.
ERP & Reporting:
  • Use ERP systems (such as Tally or equivalent) for PR/PO creation and procurement record management.
  • Prepare and submit periodic procurement reports (weekly/monthly) for management review.

Requirements

:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Sound knowledge of procurement processes, vendor development, and purchase best practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and ERP/procurement software.
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational and time-management skills.
