What's the role?
As a
Senior Product Analyst
at Jar, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our product and user experience through data. This is not just a number-crunching role - you’ll be a strategic partner to product, growth, and leadership teams, driving decisions that directly impact millions of users. You will lead deep product analysis, define success metrics, run high-velocity experiments, and build scalable data systems that empower teams across the company. What will be your responsibilities?
- Own key product analytics domains end-to-end—drive deep dives into product performance, conversion funnels, retention, monetization, and user behavior.
- Drive product strategy with data: Be a thought partner to Product, Growth, and Leadership teams—framing problems, surfacing opportunities, and shaping roadmaps with insights.
- Lead experimentation rigor: Design and oversee A/B tests, define success metrics, validate hypotheses statistically, and help scale test-and-learn culture across pods.
- Build and scale analytics infrastructure: Set up scalable dashboards, define reliable data pipelines, and empower teams with self-serve data tools (Looker Studio, Mixpanel, etc).
- Coach junior analysts: Mentor and review the work of product analysts; raise the bar for analytical thinking and storytelling across the organization.
- Ensure data quality & governance: Collaborate with engineering and data teams to maintain high fidelity in event tracking and analytics logic.
- Influence high-stakes decisions: Present insights clearly and impactfully to cross-functional stakeholders, including founders, product heads, and marketing leads.
What’s required from you?
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience in product/data analytics, ideally in a fast-scaling B2C or fintech startup
- Strong SQL proficiency; comfortable working with large-scale event data and transforming it into actionable insights
- Deep understanding of product analytics frameworks—funnels, retention cohorts, engagement loops, growth levers, and LTV/CAC modeling
- Hands-on with Mixpanel, Amplitude, and experience building dashboards
- Bonus: Experience with scripting in Python/R
- Bonus: Experience leading experimentation platforms or frameworks
