Website : The Green Gen Job Description : Senior Manager – Sales & Marketing Location: Morbi – Gujarat (India & UAE) Reporting: Head of Project Role Overview: The Senior Manager – Sales & Marketing will be responsible for leading the Sales & Marketing function, focusing on expanding operations in India (Utility-scale EPC & IPP model) and the UAE (Rooftop and Utility-scale projects). This role demands a dynamic leader who can develop and execute marketing strategies, generate leads, manage market research, and build a high-performing team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in scaling operations and enhancing the company’s market presence. Key Responsibilities: 1. Lead Generation & Business Development (India & UAE) Identify and generate leads for utility-scale EPC and IPP projects in India. Develop strategies to penetrate the UAE rooftop solar market and target utility-scale opportunities. Build and maintain strong client relationships with corporate clients, government bodies, and EPC partners. Identify potential deals and partnerships, leading negotiations to close profitable contracts. 2. Market Research & Data Management Conduct in-depth market research to identify industry trends, competitor strategies, and new business opportunities. Maintain an up-to-date database of market data, government policies, and industry regulations. Track global energy news, tenders, and emerging market opportunities in renewable energy, BESS, GH2, PSP, and hybrid systems . 3. Tender Management & Strategic Bidding Identify and monitor all relevant tenders (EPC, IPP, or other applicable categories) across India and UAE. Form a dedicated team to regularly review tender portals and study eligibility criteria and requirements. Coordinate with internal departments (Design, RNC, Legal, Finance) to gather all necessary technical and commercial documentation. Prepare and submit complete bid proposals as per the specific terms of each tender. Maintain a centralized tracker of all tenders applied, won, or lost, with key insights and improvement actions. Strategically plan pricing and proposal positioning to maximize tender success rate. 4. Marketing Strategy & Content Development Design and implement marketing strategies tailored to both India and UAE markets. Create high-quality marketing materials including presentations, brochures, manifests, case studies, and sales decks. Manage content creation for tender proposals, investor decks, and client presentations. 5. Digital Marketing & Brand Presence Develop and execute digital marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and lead generation. Manage company presence across social media platforms, website, and email campaigns. Optimize SEO/SEM strategies to improve online visibility and search rankings. Plan and coordinate participation in industry expos, conferences, and renewable energy events. 6. Deal Identification & Negotiation Scout for new business opportunities and build a strong pipeline for future projects. Negotiate with potential clients, vendors, and partners to secure profitable deals. Collaborate with the legal and finance teams to structure deals in alignment with company goals. 7. Team Building & Leadership Build and manage the Sales & Marketing team, hiring key positions based on business needs. Set clear KPIs for the team and conduct regular performance reviews. Foster a collaborative work environment focused on results and continuous improvement. 8. Process Development & Department Structuring Develop and implement standardized processes for all Sales & Marketing functions. Establish workflows for lead management, client communications, and sales tracking. Create templates and frameworks for client proposals, agreements, and marketing materials. 9. Client Management & Payment Follow-ups Manage client communications, ensuring timely updates on project progress and milestones. Prepare, review, and sign off on client agreements in collaboration with the legal team. Follow up with clients for payment collection and ensure adherence to payment schedules. Handle client queries and ensure high levels of client satisfaction. 10. Strategic Planning & Reporting Develop short-term and long-term sales strategies aligned with company objectives. Regularly report on sales metrics, lead generation progress, and market insights to top management. Identify potential risks and propose strategies to overcome market challenges. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Renewable Energy, or related fields. Additional certifications in Digital Marketing, Sales Strategy, or Renewable Energy Markets are a plus. Experience & Skills: 8-12 years of experience in Sales & Marketing, preferably in the renewable energy sector. Proven track record in handling EPC utility-scale projects, IPP models, and rooftop solar markets. Strong expertise in market research, lead generation, and deal negotiation. Hands-on experience in digital marketing tools, CRM platforms, and proposal management. Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills. Ability to manage teams across multiple geographies (India & UAE).
