Job Description

Job Role: Senior Human Resources Professional

A Senior HR professional plays a strategic and operational role in managing an organization's human capital. They are responsible for aligning HR strategies with business goals, leading HR initiatives, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic HR Planning

Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with overall business objectives.

Advise leadership on workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational design.

Participate in business planning and contribute to decision-making from an HR perspective.

2. Talent Acquisition & Retention

Oversee recruitment processes for senior or key positions.

Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs.

Develop employer branding and employee value proposition (EVP) strategies.

Monitor and improve employee retention metrics.

3. Performance Management

Design and manage performance appraisal systems.

Coach managers on providing feedback and performance improvement.

Implement performance improvement plans (PIPs) and disciplinary actions when necessary.

4. Employee Relations

Serve as a point of escalation for complex employee issues.

Mediate conflicts and promote a positive workplace culture.

Ensure fair and consistent application of HR policies and labor laws.

5. Compliance and Risk Management

Ensure compliance with labor laws, safety standards, and HR policies.

Prepare for audits and maintain accurate HR records.

Update and communicate HR policies in line with legal changes.

6. Compensation and Benefits

Support the design and administration of compensation structures.

Review market data to ensure competitive salary and benefits offerings.

Lead salary benchmarking and annual compensation reviews.

7. Training and Development

Identify training needs and coordinate development programs.

Lead initiatives around leadership development and succession planning.

Support diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) training.

8. HR Metrics and Reporting

Analyze HR data (turnover, engagement, performance) and present reports to leadership.

Use data to inform HR strategy and process improvements.

9. Team Leadership and Mentoring

Supervise and mentor junior HR team members.

Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing within the HR department.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's/Master's degree in HR, Business, or related field.

5–10+ years of progressive HR experience.

Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.

Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., SAP, Workday, BambooHR).

Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.

Certifications (optional but preferred): SHRM-SCP, SPHR, etc

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per year
