Job Role
Senior HR Executive is responsible for managing high-level HR functions, especially overseeing recruitment processes, campus interviews, and ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws. Key skills for such a role include strong recruitment strategy, campus hiring expertise, communication, leadership, and analytical abilities.
Responsibilites
A Senior HR Executive typically performs the following duties:
- Design and implement recruitment and placement strategies, including for campus interviews.
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes—Job posting, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Organise and participate in campus recruitment drives and job fairs to attract fresh talent.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand manpower requirements and address staffing needs.
- Develop and monitor HR strategies, policies, and procedures to align with the company’s objectives.
- Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, engagement, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory HR standards.
- Guide and support junior HR staff and maintain HR records and databases accurately.
- Oversee the exit process, including exit interviews and ensuring a smooth transition.
Key Skills for Recruitment & Campus Interviews
- Recruitment & Talent Acquisition: Proficiency in sourcing, interviewing, and selecting candidates, including organising campus recruitment drives.
- Campus Interview Planning: Experience in designing campus placement strategies, building relationships with colleges, and conducting pre-placement talks.
- Communication: Excellent oral and written communication—vital for employer branding, counselling candidates, and coordination with colleges and management.
- Leadership: Ability to mentor HR team members and coordinate between various departments.
- Analytical Thinking: Skilled at evaluating recruitment metrics, reviewing campus hiring outcomes, and improving processes.
- HRIS & Technology: Familiarity with HR Management Systems and Applicant Tracking Systems for efficient hiring management.

- Event Organisation: Ability to plan and execute recruitment drives, workshops, and induction programs.
- Negotiation: Strong negotiating skills for discussing job offers and managing expectations with fresh hires.
