The Analyst assists with planning, developing and preparing expense forecast and variance explanations and engages with management to collect, analyze, and summarize financial data. The Analyst also provides support and data in preparation of financial presentations for senior management and the Board.
Essential Functions For This Role Include
- Financial modeling to include the design, development and maintenance of complex financial models and systems
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for the organization’s largest expense category, Salaries and Employee Benefits
- Guide the development of the expense budget, forecasts and variance analysis
- Document drivers of budget to actual variances for assigned areas
- Deliver insightful financial analysis and produce management reports that support decision-making
- Coordinate and update forecast models and refine forecasts to ensure current business and regulatory trends are captured in the outcome
- Operate as a key partner for assigned areas and support business partners/management with issue analysis and resolution
- Manage, oversee and maintain assigned databases/modules in the FP&A planning system
- Manage and deliver highly confidential and time-sensitive analysis for compensation and performance metrics
- Provide data and analysis for business cases, benchmarking studies, and other special corporate initiatives/projects
- Other duties as assigned
If you have the following skills, we encourage you to apply:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of progressive experience in financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, macros).
- Experience with financial modeling, variance analysis, and forecasting techniques.
- Familiarity with FP&A systems, databases, and reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Business acumen and understanding of organizational financial drivers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and presentations for senior management and the Board.
- Ability to interact effectively with management and cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage confidential and time-sensitive information.
- Demonstrated capability in planning, prioritization, and time management.
