Job Description

Position Purpose Asst Sales Manager is responsible for maintaining and expanding the business/ market presence in the West region by : Growing Sales, Revenues & Profitability with existing and new clients Identifying new business opportunities / potential with existing or new applications for Emulsions & Resins Acting as the primary lead in maintaining and supporting the client relationship Collecting information on Market Intelligence & Trends to co-relate with potential implication Key Tasks Volume, Sales Revenue & Profitability growth Secure and grow the business with existing customers with suitable defense and growth strategy Maintain and Expand customer base, if necessary also connect with regional stakeholders Identify and Lead new applications development / business opportunities for Emulsions & Resins with existing customers as well as new applications and new customers Effective Receivables and Credit management Customer Management Work closely with Internal Stake holders (marketing, customer service and technical manager) to ensure customer requirements are met and served in a timely manner Understand Technical requirements of customers and the market Co-ordination between Customer, Customer service & Supply Chain team ensuring seamless communication Efficient Complaint handling in collaboration with Customer support & SCM Team Market - business intelligence and research: Systematically collect, analyze and present market data, trends and it’s potential implication on Business Market mapping & regular competitor’s information/activities to support business strategies Intelligent pricing strategies keeping value selling in mind to improve profitability Sales MIS & Reporting Timely documentation of reports with clarity in actions and market information Effective Opportunity Management and Documentation in Salesforce, Analytical Ability Look at the bigger picture, analyze market/competition information and present the key message Understand the trend, can co-relate with business impact in terms of opportunity or Risk Capability Understanding client’s technical and commercial needs & expectations, proactively identifying and develop business opportunities by developing relationship, support and trust with the client. Communicating the value proposition and understanding the long term market view. Knowledge Required Technical knowledge of Product as well as competing chemistries Market knowledge, preferably on polymer dispersions and it’s applications/potential applications Sales experience in WB chemicals, preferably polymers with established contacts with key market players/segments/applications Skills Required Target oriented, effective Time Management, Willing to travel extensively Strong Entrepreneurship, Positive Attitude and Business acumen Ability to work independently, to take initiative and be self- motivated Persistence, self-reliance and perseverance Open for re-location in case needed Excellent communication, Presentation, analytical and Intercultural skills, willingness to adapt and promote diversity Proactive and Vigilant on changing market conditions and new developments in the market. Negotiation, Networking and Relationship skills. Must be a Team Player, practice and promote integrity and ethical behavior Preferably understands and speaks local language in addition to English and Hindi. Required And Preferred Education (including Preferred Fields Of Study) Bachelor/Masters degree in Sciences (in Polymers/Chemistry) plus MBA Required And Preferred Experience And Industry-Specific Experience 4-7+ years work experience, preferably in technical sales/marketing of Water-based (WB) emulsion / WB polymer chemicals / WB Additives / WB Applications Physical Demands Extensive domestic and occasional international travel Work Environment Office setting Location: Mumbai Show more Show less
