Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Database Administrator (MSSQL) to manage, optimize, and secure our growing database infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments (Azure/AWS). The ideal candidate will be proficient in SQL Server administration, performance tuning, automation, and cloud migrations.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases across multiple environments.

Manage and optimize databases of large size (up to 20+ TB).

Design and implement High Availability (Always On, Clustering, Log Shipping, Replication) and Disaster Recovery (HADR) solutions.

Perform query tuning, indexing, and performance optimization for mission-critical systems.

Create and maintain SSIS packages, SSRS reports, and automate administrative tasks using PowerShell scripting.

Oversee database migrations to Azure or AWS, ensuring minimal downtime.

Develop and enforce database standards, backup policies, and user access control.

Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and document solutions.

Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams for release management.

Provide 24x7 database support and mentor junior DBAs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

8+ years of experience in SQL Server Database Administration.

Experience on writing SSIS packages.

strong knowledge of Datawarehousing , data engineering, and Azure data factory.

Strong expertise in High Availability (Always On, Clustering, HADR) and Disaster Recovery setup.

Proven experience in performance tuning, query optimization, and database troubleshooting.

Hands-on experience with SSIS, SSRS, PowerShell scripting, and SQL automation.

Experience with Azure SQL / AWS RDS migration and management.

Knowledge of monitoring tools such as RedGate, SQL Diagnostic Manager, SolarWinds DPA, etc.

Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.

Good to Have:

Oracle DBA experience or certification (OCA/OCP).

Exposure to DevOps or CI/CD for database deployments.

Familiarity with T-SQL development and data warehouse management.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

Microsoft / Oracle / AWS certifications preferred.
