About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Test Engineer to lead and expand our automation testing efforts across core mortgage technology platforms. This is a hands-on role focused on designing and building test automation frameworks using Python, Playwright, and Pytest. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality and compliance of critical systems such as Loan Origination Systems (LOS), document processing tools, underwriting engines, and customer portals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end test automation frameworks using Playwright (Python) and Pytest
• Automate complex mortgage workflows including loan applications, underwriting, disclosures, and servicing processes
• Validate API integrations between mortgage systems (LOS, CRM, credit bureaus, document engines)
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage for frontend (UI) and backend (API, database) components
• Collaborate with developers, QA analysts, business analysts, and product managers to understand mortgage-specific use cases
• Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
• Perform test data management and backend validation using SQL/XML/JSON
• Provide technical leadership within the QA team and establish best practices for test automation
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, grooming, and demos
• Maintain test documentation and reusable libraries/utilities

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 6–10 years of QA experience, with at least 3 years in test automation using Python
• Strong experience with Playwright and Pytest
• Proven experience automating web applications and APIs, ideally in mortgage or financial services
• Understanding of mortgage domain processes such as loan origination, underwriting, disclosures, and compliance validations
• Experience validating API integrations and backend workflows
• Proficient in SQL and comfortable with XML/JSON data
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automation integration
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with mortgage systems like Encompass, ICE Mortgage Technology, Calyx, Blend, etc.
• Familiarity with highly regulated environments and audit/compliance processes
• Knowledge of test management tools (ADO, Zephyr)
• Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner)
• Working knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
