Automation Engineer - Oil & Gas Domain (Min 5 Yrs Exp)

Job Overview:

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Information Management and Platform Technologies Development team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in software development, testing, and secure systems, especially within the oil & gas drilling domain. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test strategies for automated regression testing.
• Assist with secure architecture reviews and security compliance checks.
• Ensure all identified security vulnerabilities are mitigated.
• Document software bugs, errors, and technical issues.
• Contribute to software development and testing projects of moderate complexity.
• Support database upgrades, installations, and schema changes.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science / Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Expertise in Petroleum Engineering with a strong understanding of drilling domain.
• Strong background in project design, data analysis, and technical problem-solving.

Desired Skills:

• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Design principles.
• Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Strong collaboration and team skills.

Technical Skills (Preferred):

• Automation Tools: Cypress, Postman/Newman, JMeter, Jasmine, Selenium.
• Languages/Scripting: JavaScript, Shell/Bash.
• Testing Tools: TFS, Azure DevOps.
• Databases: SQL Server, PostgreSQL (preferred).
• CI/CD & Build Tools: Maven, Jenkins, Ansible, Containerization.
• OS: Windows and Linux.
• Cloud Platforms: Azure, AWS.

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
