Job Summary:

This position is responsible for accounting, analysis, and reporting for an allocated selection of Financial Management clients. This position reports to the Director of Accounting (Financial Management).

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand all client accounting, analysis and reporting needs, including having a detailed understanding of the client expectations around scope, reporting formats and deliverable dates.
  • Deliver against a monthly schedule of all client accounting, analysis and reporting needs.
  • Complete all required accounting and analysis for the allocated portfolio of work.
  • Track completion of all client deliveries against committed dates monthly in the formats and timing as defined by the Company.
  • Process payments (check and wire) for client related expenses in accordance with each client’s directions and approval processes.
  • Ensure high quality outputs (timing, accuracy, insightful commentary) for all client deliverables.
  • Respond to client inquiries promptly and completely on an ongoing basis.
  • Coordinate with respective clients, their auditors and tax prepare to ensure the development of an agreed-up schedule of deliverables for all reporting requirements. Track and report compliance against the committed schedules as directed by the Company.
  • Ensure that all issues (accounting, service or any other matter) is promptly raised with the Director of Financial Management.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Professional certifications – must have or be on track to obtain CPA or CMA
  • 4+ years of related work experience that must include fund accounting, analysis and financial reporting.
  • Specialized technical skills to include financial analysis, data mining and manipulation, and statistical analysis.
  • Experience using Great Plains Dynamics and NetSuite preferred
  • High Level Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and writing skills.
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to cultivate strong relationships with internal and external clients.
  • An understanding of commercial real estate transactions and industry terms preferred.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on efficiency and accuracy; well organized
  • Able to thrive in a changing and challenging environment
  • Logical analysis: Requires thinking through and solving problems step by step, often looking beyond the obvious solution to a problem and digging deeper for the best solution
  • Interact professionally with all levels of employees, internal and external customers
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written) with individuals at all organizational levels
  • Effectively manage competing priorities and still meet deadlines
