Job Description – Senior Accountant

Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage the full spectrum of accounting operations of the company, including financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, costing, and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Maintain daily accounts, ledgers, journals, and reconcile statements.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Handle accounts payable/receivable, vendor reconciliation, and invoice management.
• Manage cash flow, bank reconciliation, and petty cash supervision.

2. Taxation & Statutory Compliance

• Manage GST (R1, R3B), TDS calculation, payment, and return filing.
• Ensure compliance with statutory norms under Income Tax, ROC, PF, ESIC, and other regulations.
• Assist auditors during internal and external audits.

3. Budgeting, Costing & Revenue Analysis

• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and perform variance analysis.
• Evaluate and control departmental budgets.
• Prepare costing reports and implement cost-control measures.
• Manage revenue tracking, MIS reporting, and profitability analysis.

4. Financial Management

• Monitor receivables, follow up for payments, and maintain ageing reports.
• Support management with financial planning and data-driven insights.
• Liaise with banks for payments, deposits, and account-related matters.

5. Coordination & Reporting

• Collaborate with HR, Admin, and Operations teams for financial support.
• Provide monthly financial reports to the management.
• Ensure strong internal control practices and documentation.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• B.Com/M.Com or MBA in Finance/Accounting.
• Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in service or travel/forex industry.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, budgeting, and costing.
• Proficiency in Tally ERP, MS Excel, and accounting software.
• Excellent analytical skills, accuracy, and time-management abilities.
