Senior Accountant

Job Title: Senior Accountant Location: SCO-76, Sector-12, Panchkula, Haryana (India) Company Overview: i9 Freeways Private Limited (PAN India), National Highway Road Construction Company Job Summary: As a Senior Accountant at i9 Freeways Private Limited , you will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. You will collaborate with internal teams, provide strategic financial insights, and manage accounting processes to support the company's financial goals. Key Responsibilities: Ø Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ø Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies. Ø Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data. Ø Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. Ø Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes. Ø Assist with internal and external audits. Ø Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff. Ø Analyze financial data and provide insights to management to support business decisions. Ø Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage tax filings. Ø Implement and improve accounting policies and procedures. Ø Assist in preparing reports for senior leadership and external stakeholders. Preferred: Ø Preference will be given to male accountants and retired professionals from the accounting department. Required Qualifications: Ø Bachelor/Master degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Ø Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on senior or managerial roles. Ø Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations Ø Proficiency in accounting software & MS Excel Ø Experience in managing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Ø Solid understanding of financial reporting and analysis. Ø Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ø Strong verbal and written communication skills.
