Senior Accountant

Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in the manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will oversee end-to-end accounting operations, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and provide insights that support strategic decision-making. This role requires strong expertise in general ledger management, cost accounting, and financial reporting, along with leadership skills to guide and mentor junior staff.

Key Responsibilities :

• General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Cost Accounting: Analyze and allocate manufacturing costs (materials, labor, and overhead), monitor cost variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Partner with department heads to prepare budgets, provide financial forecasts, and analyze performance against targets.
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory accounting, ensuring proper valuation and accurate cost of goods sold calculations.
• Internal Controls & Compliance: Establish and enforce internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations.
• Audit Coordination: Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and addressing audit findings.
• Tax Compliance: Manage timely preparation and filing of tax returns (sales tax, property tax, income tax).
• Process Improvement: Continuously identify and implement best practices to improve efficiency in accounting processes.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.

Qualifications :

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and MS Excel; ERP experience is a strong plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
