Description
The Senior Academic Coordinator will oversee academic operations, faculty performance, and curriculum delivery across all branches. The role includes conducting classes, mentoring faculty, monitoring academic standards, and ensuring consistency in teaching–learning processes. The position also requires periodic travel to other branches for academic audits and evaluations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Academic Planning & Coordination:
Plan and monitor academic calendars, timetables, and class schedules.
Ensure syllabus coverage and lesson planning as per institutional requirements.
Coordinate with faculty for effective subject delivery and academic reporting.
Conduct regular academic review meetings and ensure smooth academic operations.
2. Teaching & Mentoring:
Handle classes for assigned subjects in relevant programs (Aviation, Logistics, Hotel Management, Hospital Administration, etc.).
Provide academic mentoring, guidance, and doubt-clearing support to students.
Conduct assessments, evaluate student performance, and provide feedback.
Ensure an engaging and student-centered classroom environment.
3. Faculty Management:
Supervise, guide, and support faculty members across branches.
Conduct faculty performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Identify faculty training needs and organize development sessions.
4. Academic Audit & Branch Coordination:
Visit other branches periodically for academic audits, class monitoring, and faculty reviews.
Verify compliance with institutional academic standards and procedures.
Submit detailed audit reports and recommend corrective measures.
5. Student Support & Administration:
Monitor student attendance, discipline, and academic performance.
Coordinate internal exams, maintain academic records, and ensure timely result processing.
Address academic-related student grievances in coordination with branch heads.
6. Quality Assurance:
Maintain academic quality in alignment with EIM’s policies and standards.
Ensure compliance with external certification and accreditation requirements (e.g., STED, ASAP, etc.).
Prepare documentation, reports, and data for academic audits and inspections.
7. Coordination with Management:
Report academic progress, branch audit findings, and improvement suggestions to the Chief Academic Coordinator / Director.
Assist management in curriculum updates, new course development, and academic planning.
8. Events & Activities:
Coordinate academic events such as seminars, guest lectures, workshops, and educational visits.
Support co-curricular and student engagement initiatives across branches.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education, Management, or relevant discipline (MBA / MA / M.Ed preferred).
Minimum 5 years of experience in academic coordination or administration, with teaching experience in higher education.
Experience in handling multi-branch academic operations preferred.
