Purpose of the role

The SEO Manager is responsible for building and managing the search optimisation function to drive organic growth across priority websites, landing pages and digital assets. The role focuses on structured on page and off page optimisation, content alignment, technical health, analytics interpretation and performance improvements. The role works closely with the Performance Marketing Manager, Brand Manager and Web Developer to ensure all SEO work is accurate, compliant and aligned with broader digital objectives.


Responsibilities and duties

  • Oversee all on page activities including keyword research, content optimisation, metadata updates and internal linking.
  • Review and improve the technical health of all websites including crawl-ability, indexation, site structure and Core Web Vitals.
  • Plan and execute off page activities including content recommendations and authority building through approved methods.
  • Collaborate with the Web Developer to address technical issues, implement improvements and support structured deployments.
  • Develop content guidelines and coordinate with creative teams for SEO aligned copy, headings and content structure.
  • Monitor ranking movements, traffic patterns, CTR and engagement metrics, and produce weekly and monthly reports.
  • Use analytics platforms to identify performance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain structured documentation for keywords, content maps, technical issues and improvement logs.
  • Ensure all public facing content follows brand, accuracy and compliance expectations.
  • Support Performance Marketing with insights that improve landing page performance and overall conversion pathways.

  • Approved keyword lists and content alignment plans for priority pages.
  • Technical health improvements documented with before and after evidence.
  • Weekly and monthly reports outlining trends, insights and actions.
  • Optimised landing pages and website sections supported by measurable organic improvements.
  • Documented SEO processes, content mapping and structured review cycles.


Compliance and confidentiality

All work must be completed using approved systems. Data, credentials and platform access must be handled confidentially and used only for authorised business purposes. Any public facing content must follow internal brand and accuracy requirements.

Essential skills

  • Strong understanding of on page and off page SEO.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Search Console, GA4, SEMrush or Ahrefs.
  • Understanding of technical concepts including sitemaps, schema, robot’s instructions and Core Web Vitals.
  • Ability to analyse data and convert insights into clear actions.
  • Structured documentation habits and high attention to detail.
  • Clear written communication and collaborative working style.


Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
  • Three to five years of experience in SEO for services or product-based businesses.
  • Experience working with development and creative teams on structured optimisation cycles.
