About the Role: We are a fast-growing maternal dietary supplements manufacturing company seeking a proactive and communication-driven Procurement Executive to manage and expand our supplier network. The primary responsibility is to reach out to potential suppliers — mainly farmers — from our existing database, establish contact, explain our requirements, and onboard them into our system. This role is essential in bridging the gap between our sourcing needs and the vast supplier base available to us. Note: This is a 6-month contractual position. Based on performance, the role may be extended into a full-time position. Key Responsibilities: Call and communicate with farmers and other potential suppliers from our database and other sources, and handle other procurement tasks. Educate them about our procurement requirements, terms, and onboarding process. Gather essential documentation and supplier details for registration. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure long-term engagement. Collaborate with the production teams to align sourcing needs with supplier capabilities. Track, follow up, and maintain records of supplier communications and onboarding status. Report on outreach effectiveness and suggest improvements to increase conversion. Handle any supplier queries and resolve them with a service-oriented approach. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, Supply Chain, operation or a related field. 0–1 years of experience in procurement, supplier relations, sales, or a similar role. Excellent verbal communication skills in Tamil, Hindi, English Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with rural or first-time suppliers. Create and implement SOPs and production workflows to enhance efficiency, minimize waste, and maximize resource utilization. Ensure regulatory compliance with international manufacturing standards such as GMP, FDA, HACCP, and FSSC 22000, conducting periodic audits and inspections. Lead quality assurance efforts across the production process, working closely with QA/QC teams to proactively identify and resolve quality issues. Mentor, train, and manage production staff to promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence. Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, forecast needs, and recommend strategic improvements in processes or technologies. Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure optimal performance of equipment and infrastructure, reducing downtime and enhancing production flow.
