Members of a development team gather product requirements from Product Management and turn them into working software that satisfies market needs which customers use to solve their specific problems.The Scrum Master with the Product Engineering team is a change leadership role, where you will work with the entire organisation to help deliver business value frequently and with quality. You will be expected to champion industry-accepted best practices in Scrum and other Agile approaches throughout the business, working across several teams as part of a globally distributed, multi-team engineering department.You will have excellent knowledge of the Scrum framework, with all its artifacts and techniques. You’ll also need the ability to coordinate people and projects with your mind set on deliverables. You will be responsible for:
- Lead multiple Agile teams as part of a distributed, multi-team Agile release cycle
- Serve as an Agile Coach, guiding teams and individuals in adopting Agile mindsets and practices
- Imbedding cultural and process changes into the business by education and leading by example
- Facilitate key Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
- Guide teams through continuous improvement cycles and build a culture of high performance and self-management
- Collaborate with Product Owners to manage backlogs and prioritize deliverables aligned with business goals
- Plan and guide team deliverables to ensure consistent and predictable outcomes
- Promote collaboration and clear communication across teams and stakeholders
- Resolve conflicts and remove impediments that block progress
- Collaborate with fellow Scrum Masters and stakeholders to align practices, share insights, and drive continuous Agile process improvements across the organization
- Monitor team performance metrics, manage escalations, and oversee defect resolution to ensure effective delivery and sustained team performance
Minimum Experience & Qualifications
- Five or more years of Scrum Master experience with progressively increasing responsibilities
- Experience coaching and leading existing teams through successive change cycles and introducing and integrating new teams into existing processes
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle models and expert knowledge of Agile best practices
- Proven track record leading distributed Scrum teams
- Experience scaling Agile in an engineering organisation of fifty software engineers or more
- Prior experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.…) on enterprise-scale projects
- Sufficient technical background to accurately and objectively evaluate complex program and project risks and technical issues
- Excellent communication and servant leadership skills
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability with outstanding organizational skills
- An applicable qualification in Agile or Project Management (i.e. APMG, PMI, ICP)
Preferred Experience
- Start-up and scale-up experience with an emphasis on organisational effectiveness
- Experience working with Atlassian Jira and Bitbucket (Git)
- Experience with Web, mobile, big data, and cloud technologies
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery experience desired
- Customer Experience (CX) technology and contact centre solutions experience a plus
