Job Role: Scrum Master

Experience: 10+ years

Location: Hyderabad, Work from Office

Working Hours: 12:00pm to 9.00pm IST

Role Purpose

The Scrum Master (SM) is responsible for embedding the company’s Agile framework and practices into daily team rituals. SM will facilitate end-to-end Scrum ceremonies (including Sprint 0 execution), surface and remove impediments, and use data-driven insights to coach teams toward improved performance and product quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Champion Agile culture and coach teams on its principles, rituals, and artifacts
  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including Sprint 0, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to refine and prioritize the backlog with clear user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Mentor team members on Agile practices and servant-leadership
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and accountability
  • Act as a liaison between development teams and stakeholders, managing expectations and communication
  • Drive continuous improvement using team metrics and feedback
  • Partner with Platform Owners, Delivery Leaders, and Product Owners to define sprint goals and ensure adherence to Definition of Done
  • Analyze metrics such as velocity, predictability, cycle time, and lead time to guide improvement
  • Remove impediments and escalate blockers only when necessary
  • Maintain and optimize Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Aha!) for real-time visibility
  • Monitor sprint health and delivery quality, embedding automated testing and CI/CD best practices
  • Serve as the team’s Agile guardian, ensuring a culture of transparency, ownership, and relentless pursuit of quality
  • Maintain and optimize Scrum/Kanban boards and Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Aha), ensuring real-time visibility into progress and risks

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4–6 years of experience as a Scrum Master, with 10+ years in overall SDLC roles
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM or equivalent)
  • Strong conflict resolution and analytical skills
  • Deep understanding of Scrum/Kanban frameworks and Agile technologies
  • Experience working with geographically distributed teams
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills
  • Adaptability in dynamic environments
  • Self-motivated with strong focus and discipline
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Technology, or equivalent
