About MIPL

MIPL is a leading indigenous technology company under the “Make in India” program. We design and manufacture advanced AI-driven robotics, VR/AR/MR simulators, special-purpose machines, and safety-oriented defense solutions. Our clientele includes the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, Police Forces, DRDO, PSUs, and Engineering/Education Institutions across India.

We are seeking a Sales Manager who will lead business development, client engagement, and sales strategy execution to expand MIPL’s footprint across government, defense, and education sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end sales cycle: lead generation, client meetings, proposal/tender preparation, negotiation, and deal closure.
  • Identify new business opportunities in defense, law enforcement, education (VR labs), and PSU sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders such as Army Commands, Police HQs, DRDO labs, Skill Development Boards, and PSUs.
  • Develop and execute quarterly and annual sales targets aligned with company growth plans.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to customize solutions and prepare EOIs, RFP responses, technical presentations, and demos.
  • Track government tenders, procurement portals (GeM, MoD, State Govt.), and ensure timely submissions.
  • Monitor competitors, industry trends, and market intelligence to refine sales strategy.
  • Represent MIPL in defense expos, trade fairs, and government meetings.
  • Maintain a structured sales pipeline, CRM updates, and weekly reporting to management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Business/Management; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of Sales/Business Development experience in defense technology, robotics, automation, or B2G (Business-to-Government) markets.
  • Strong understanding of government procurement processes, tenders, and defense/PSU sales cycles.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams (technical, R&D, and operations).
  • Willingness to travel extensively across India for client meetings and demos.

Preferred Attributes

  • Prior experience in working with Robotics/AI/Defense/PSU/EdTech sales.
  • Network of contacts within Armed Forces, Police, DRDO, State Government Departments, and Engineering Colleges.
  • Self-driven, strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, LinkedIn lead generation, and tender monitoring platforms.

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
