Job Description

Timetraveler is seeking a proactive and result-driven Distribution & Dealer Development Manager to expand and strengthen our dealer/distributor network across key markets. The role is crucial in ensuring availability of our products (e.g., perfumes or lifestyle FMCG) in untapped and existing territories by identifying, appointing, and nurturing high-performing distribution partners.


Key Responsibility


  • Identify, evaluate, and appoint new distributors and dealers in target regions.
  • Develop and execute dealer onboarding plans including training, documentation, and compliance.
  • Drive primary and secondary sales through dealer channels to meet regional targets.
  • Monitor distributor stock levels and ensure timely order placements and product availability.
  • Implement trade schemes, incentive programs, and ensure dealer engagement.
  • Plan and conduct territory visits to strengthen market presence and resolve issues.
  • Ensure brand visibility, POS deployment, and promotional support at retail level.
  • Work closely with Sales, Supply Chain, and Trade Marketing teams for smooth execution.
  • Track market intelligence, competitor activity, and suggest corrective actions.
  • Maintain reports on dealer performance, sales metrics, and growth progress.


Key Skills & Competencies


  • Strong knowledge of B2B distribution networks and retail channel sales.
  • Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills.
  • Data-driven approach with working knowledge of MS Excel / CRM tools.
  • Ability to build strategic B2B relationships with high-end partners.
  • High sensitivity to brand aesthetics, exclusivity, and experiential retail standards.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with the FMCG/perfume/cosmetic product category is a plus.
  • Ability to travel extensively and work independently.



Qualification


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 4–8 years of experience in distribution/dealer development, preferably in FMCG, personal care, or consumer products.
