Job Description

A sales manager in a stockbroking company is responsible for driving revenue through the acquisition of new clients and the expansion of existing client relationships. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies, managing a sales team, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Key responsibilities include meeting sales targets, building client relationships, and providing market insights and product knowledge.  Here's a more detailed breakdown: Key Responsibilities: Client Acquisition and Activation: Identifying and acquiring new clients interested in stock market investments.  Onboarding new clients and ensuring their accounts are activated for trading.  Driving account openings and maintaining a high number of active clients.  Revenue Generation and Sales Targets: Achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets for brokerage, mutual funds, IPOs, and other financial products.  Generating revenue through brokerage fees, commissions, and product sales.  Focusing on cross-selling and upselling financial products to existing clients.  Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to foster loyalty and repeat business.  Providing excellent customer service, addressing client queries, and resolving complaints.  Providing clients with investment advice and recommendations based on their needs and market conditions.  Sales Strategy and Execution: Developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve business objectives.  Executing sales campaigns and product promotions.  Staying informed about market trends, competitor activities, and financial regulations.  Team Management and Development: Managing and mentoring a team of sales professionals.  Providing guidance and support to team members to achieve individual and team goals.  Collaborating with other departments, such as research and marketing, to optimize sales efforts.  Compliance and Reporting: Ensuring all client interactions and transactions comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.  Maintaining accurate records of client interactions and sales activities.  Preparing and submitting regular sales reports and performance analysis.  Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field.
