Job Description

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute end-to-end customer sales life-cycle, including lead generation, solution presentation, proposal submission, commercial negotiation, and deal closure
  • Results-driven and dynamic Sales Manager with a proven track record of successful sales execution and driving revenue growth
  • Prior experience successfully managing sales process large tech/ICT projects in Govt., PSU, or CSP accounts
  • Develop and execute targeted sales strategies and GTM partnerships for Indian Network Operators, CSPs, Govt/PSUs, and Defence organizations
  • Engage with CXOs, senior executives, and technical teams in customer organizations to build trust and position the Vegayan solution as a key value differentiator
  • Work and coordinate with technical and pre-sales teams on RFI, RFP, and Bid-submission processes, ensuring timely, high-quality responses and strong customer engagement
  • Build and manage channel partnerships with system integrators (SI), technology vendors, and service partners to drive joint go-to-market strategies.
  • Gather market intelligence, track competition, and identify potential new areas of growth in the telecom, CSP, enterprise, and government/PSU market segments.
  • Support delivery team in post-deal project implementation, UAT and handover by ensuring smooth communication channels through the project milestones and closure.
  • Handle account management, customer relations, and billing follow-ups.
  • Drive customer success initiatives through continuous engagement and feedback loops to enhance retention and upsell opportunities.
  • Contribute to product roadmap by sharing customer insights and market intelligence.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience:
  • 8–10 years of sales/business development experience, preferably in Telecom, CSP, Network Management, ICT solutions, or Enterprise IT/Network software products.
  • Proven ability to handle complex sales cycles associated with large tech projects and high-value contracts having multiple stake-holders in business hierarchy
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales revenue targets and managing high-value deals.
  • Strong exposure and relevant connects to Government procurement, PSU contracts, and defence sector opportunities.
  • Prior experience in stitching partnerships with System Integrators, other OEM’s and services partners for joint customer proposals.
  • Excellent understanding of RFP/RFI lifecycle management, bid response preparation, and contract finalization processes in the enterprise and government sectors.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with ability to articulate complex technical solutions in simple terms and influence decision-makers.
  • Industry Knowledge:
  • Deep understanding of Telecom Networks, OSS/BSS, IP/MPLS, SDN, and Network Operations.
  • Knowledge of network management services, ICT solutions, and professional services.
  • Hands-on experience in responding to RFI/RFP/RFQ processes.
  • Experience in partnering with System Integrators, service providers, and channel partners to execute joint sales engagements.
  • Participated in industry conferences, exhibitions, and other events.
  • Awareness of regulatory frameworks, licensing norms, and government’s digital initiatives impacting telecom and ICT sectors.
  • Skills:

  • Ability to present complex technical solution in a clear business value proposition
  • High energy individual with initiative and a consultative sales approach
  • Relationship building with customers, partners, and account prospects
