- Review and analyze revenue transactions to ensure proper recognition in accordance with US GAAP and Netapp Accounting Policies
- Day to Day Revenue Management –Contract Grouping, Defining POB, Revenue Allocations, SSP and Carve Analysis, Reviewing Contingencies
- Period Close, Accounting Accruals/Adjustment for Exception observed during Close, Month End Reporting
- Compliance with Statutory Audit, SOX and Internal Audit
- Support the revenue forecasting process by providing reliable data and insights.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance revenue accounting processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Work closely with various departments, including sales, operations, legal, and finance, to ensure alignment on revenue recognition policies, contract terms, and billing processes.
- Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on revenue-related matters and actively participate in cross-functional projects.
- Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of revenue management software is desirable.
- Experience in Zuora Revpro/Oracle ERP will be preferred
- Knowledge of Advanced Excel Formulas and Features, Dynamic Array Formulas, Microsoft Power Query, Power BI
- Basic knowledge of SQL(Writing Simple Queries-Extracting Output)
- Prior Experience on working in Power BI will be an added advantage
- Proven Track Record of Process Improvements and Project Management
Education
- Postgraduate Degree in Accounting or Finance with 1-4 Years of experience in Revenue Recognition as per US GAAP – Preferably in an IT/Software Industry
- Qualified Chartered Accountant or a CPA with 1-2 years of Experience in any Accounting function that involves compliance with US GAAP
