Airport Retail Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. National Airport Retail Oversight

• Direct daily retail operations at all international airport locations across India.
• Ensure operational excellence, SOP compliance, and regulatory adherence at each site.
• Monitor service quality, visual merchandising, and inventory accuracy at airport outlets.

2. Airport Bidding & Business Expansion

• Lead the

  airport concession bidding process

  from qualification to contract award.
• Identify growth opportunities across new airport terminals and cities.
• Liaise with airport authorities and government stakeholders to secure retail space and comply with onboarding formalities.

3. Manpower Planning & Team Leadership

• Own end-to-end staffing strategy — including hiring, rostering, training, and performance management.
• Build and manage high-performing airport teams and develop succession pipelines.
• Ensure effective shift management and resolution of on-ground issues.

4. Cross-functional Coordination

• Act as the single point of contact for all airport-related retail functions.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, and HR for integrated execution.
• Interface with airport operations teams to resolve escalations and operational bottlenecks.

5. Financial & Operational Performance

• Monitor sales, profitability, and cost efficiency across all airport outlets.
• Drive improvements in throughput, stock turnover, and customer satisfaction.
• Deliver data-driven dashboards and business insights to the senior management team.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Must-Have:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in

  airport retail operations

  or equivalent premium/high-volume retail domains.
• Strong understanding of

  airport concession licensing, bidding

  , and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent interpersonal, team management, and vendor negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively across India on a regular basis.

Preferred:

• Experience with Indian airports like IGI (Delhi), Mumbai, Bangalore, or Hyderabad.
• Background in telecom retail, electronics, or travel essentials a plus.
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or PG in Operations/Retail preferred.

  Noida (Corporate Headquarters)

• Travel:

  30–50% travel across major international airport cities in India
